The Course
Stearns Golf Course occupies a beautiful piece of ground in McCreary County, at the southern edge of Kentucky’s coal heritage corridor. The town of Stearns itself was built by the Stearns Coal & Lumber Company, and the golf course shares that deep-rooted community character — unpretentious, hardworking, and proud of where it stands.
The layout moves through mature forest and open meadow terrain, with the Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area just minutes away. Play a round, then hike the gorge. There’s no better way to spend a day in McCreary County.
